Ford Pro, the company’s commercial vehicle and fleet services division, is a second key advantage. Deep relationships with hundreds of thousands of business customers, built over decades, underpin a leading share in North American and European commercial vehicles.³ This customer base is less price-sensitive and values integrated services, providing a buffer against cyclical downturns and competitive pricing pressure from General Motors, Stellantis, and emerging Chinese automakers.⁴

Ford’s broad powertrain offering—gasoline, hybrid, and electric—contrasts with Tesla’s EV-only approach and Toyota’s hybrid focus, allowing Ford to flexibly meet shifting consumer demand and regulatory requirements.⁵ The company’s manufacturing flexibility and “customer choice” strategy reduce the risk of misallocated capital as the industry transitions.⁶
