This scale enables cost efficiencies and bargaining power with suppliers.

Amkor’s advanced packaging capabilities—particularly in 2.5D/3D integration, wafer-level, and system-in-package (SiP) technologies—are critical as semiconductor customers demand higher performance and miniaturization. The company’s early investments in these areas have secured long-term relationships with leading fabless and integrated device manufacturers, especially in high-growth segments such as automotive, high-performance computing, and premium smartphones. For example, Amkor is the leading automotive OSAT, with a strong presence in Japan and Europe, and has tripled its 2.5D capacity for AI devices year-over-year.
